The feel and the weight between normal goods and inferior goods are different. If the producer cuts corners when making the lock, which is generally made of hollow inferior materials. Such a lock is not only lightweight, but also not tactile when in use.

Both at home and abroad, there are very strict standards for door locks. Although some small manufacturers will not follow the standards in order to save costs, the big branding company always do the opposite. Therefore, when choosing cylinder locks, try to choose well-known ones.

First of all, make sure that there is lubricant in the transmission part of the lock body to ensure the smooth rotation of the door lock and prolong its service life. Check cylinder locks once every six months or a year. Also, check the fastening screws for looseness. During use, put a little graphite powder or pencil powder into the plug slot regularly to ensure smooth key insertion and removal. However, it should be noted that oil must not be added for lubrication in order to avoid the grease sticking to the spring, causing the cylinder not to rotate and the door not to be opened.

Next, it is necessary to check the fit clearance between the lock body and the striking plate at intervals, and the height difference between the bolt and the striking plate hole to ensure the proper distance between the two. If the distance is found to be changed, the position of the hinge or striking plate on the door can be adjusted.

In addition, we should pay attention to the thermal expansion caused by climate change and ensure the reasonable clearance fit between the door and the door frame, the lock body and the striking plate, making sure of smooth use of the cylinder lock.
