Cleaning & Maintenance Tips for Vending Machines

With the rise of the new retail industry, the vending machine industry has challenged other retail industries with strong strength, and a large number of investors join this industry every year. However, in the face of fierce market competition, the daily maintenance and management of vending machines have also become the key to whether the machine can run stably and earn profits surely. So how should the relevant operators clean and maintain the vending machine?

Vending Machine Cleaning & Maintenance

The outside of the vending machine: When there is dust on the outside of the machine, just wipe it with a dry rag. If there is too much dust and it cannot be rubbed clean, people can dilute the neutral detergent with water, and then use a rag to dip the diluted solution to clean the machine. It should be noted that even if the dirt is difficult to remove, do not wipe the machine with solvent or alkaline liquid, otherwise the panel and selection buttons may be cracked.

Coin recognizer: Coins are easily soiled in circulation. When soiled coins pass through the coin channel of vending machines, it also stains the channel over time. If the dirt is so bad that it will cause the abnormal performance of the vending machine in selecting coins, giving change and returning coins. Therefore, in order to maintain the good performance of the coin recognizer, the channel should be wiped at least once a month with a dry or slightly damp cleaning cloth instead of a wet rag.

Pickup box: Due to the low position of the pickup box, it is most likely to be stained with dirt. Hence, people should use a rag to rub the inside and outside of the pick-up box clean when replenishing, so as to leave a good impression of cleanliness on consumers.

Vending machines need to be well maintained during operation. Even if they are not used for a long time, they also need to be carefully taken care of, which should not be neglected. For the vending machine in the long-term non-use, people should always check the lock of the machine, and do not leave the door in a state that can be opened casually. First, take out all the items placed inside. Next, set the switch of the leakage protector to "OFF" and take the power plug out. Then wipe the inside and outside of the machine clean, pour out the water in the water storage box of the evaporator, and wipe it after cleaning. Finally, put a protective cover on the vending machine for protection.
